Welcome to Joey and Natalie’s Escape Room Adventures! We are a dynamic duo from Shropshire, UK with a passion for the thrill and excitement of escape rooms. Our love for the adrenaline rush of being stuck in a room and trying to escape within 60 minutes is what led us to create this website to share our experiences and inner thoughts with others.
Join us as we navigate through challenging puzzles and clues to break free from the confines of an escape room.
Although we both started doing escape rooms around 5 years ago, it wasnt until 2021 where we both got REALLY into the buzz of them. We both started doing escape rooms as groups but we very quickly realised that we much prefer and would much rather do rooms as just the pair of us. Although, we do enjoy watching other people struggle with us occasionally!
What first started as a fun little activity has turned and developed into an obsession of fun, excitement and puzzle solving. Seeking out new rooms to try and codes to crack is what we live for!
We make the perfect team as each of our attributes fits perfectly together. What one of us doesn’t have, the other does, so we are (almost!) a flawless escape room pair.
Learn more about what the both of us are best at down below if you’re ever stuck with us in an escape room!
Always thinking about the larger picture, Joey defaults to a leadership role when tackling any escape room. Cracking the most complex codes and pulling the strings to ensure a successful escape!
Forever finding keys and clues in all of the nooks and cranny’s, Natalie takes the role of observation when escaping. If you can’t find where she’s gone, she’s probably in another section finding hidden compartments.
We have completed escape rooms all over the UK (and even abroad!) and they have all been amazing. One, in particular, has been ever so more amazing as we actually got engaged at the end of the room!
Right at the end of Pavilion Perplex, a (rather difficult) room at Brighton Pier Pressure Escape rooms, Joey got down on one knee and proposed. What a surprise it was as firstly, we almost didn’t think we were going to escape and secondly, Natalie almost knocked herself out about halfway through the room! Luckily we did manage to escape though and the proposal was everything an escape room nerd could ask for.
The added stress of proposing in an escape room alongside the pressure to still get out within 60 minutes is truly something else, but so worth it!
As all of our friends and family have said, it is a very “us” way to get engaged.
Escape rooms aren’t just a hobby for us at this point as we have very special memories attached to our escapes. Every new room we discover and every code we break brings us back to this moment and we get to relive the thrill of it with each escape.
Imagine if we didnt get out though? What would have happened? I guess we never have to find out!
Huge thanks to the legends at Pier Pressure Brighton for making this happen and for helping to create such a special moment. The prosecco at the end was a huge plus too!
